Over half of the firefighters hired by the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE) in the city of Quelimane, Zambezia province, to work as agents of civic education aimed at the general elections of 2014 were selected from a list submitted by the party Frelimo election to that body. These lists (photos) indicate to be around 43 firefighters who left an elaborate proposal and sent to STAE and are now working as agents of civic education. But STAE director of the city of Quelimane, Louis Mackerel, says 46 firefighters came by public tender and the selection was made based on documentary analysis of prerequisites.
