A group of unidentified armed men attacked a semi-collective passenger transport vehicle in Mavago district, Niassa province, in the early hours of Friday [October 2], Rádio Moçambique reports.The driver of the vehicle was killed and the criminals seized more than 85,000 meticais and six cell phones from the passengers.The event occurred in the so-called ‘Makuas’ climb’ [Subida dos Macuas], 40 kilometres from the town of , the district capital.The head of the Public Relations department in acting at the PRM Command in Niassa, Alfredo Cuane, confirmed the occurrence and says that the corporation is hunting down the criminals to bring them to justice.
