Mozambican side Ferroviario de Maputo claimed their first-ever FIBA Africa Women’s Champions Cup title after beating five-time ACCW Winners InterClube 59-56 in Sunday's Final in the Mozambican capital city of Maputo.
Carmen Virginia Tyson-Thomas inspired the new champions with a game-high of 20 points, and 5 rebounds in front of a sellout crowd.
On the other side, Angolan Italee Lucas, proved crucial for InterClube as she netted a team-high of 17 points and 3 assists but it was not enough to avoid the Angolans' loss.
