Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario on Friday received a delegation sent by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to strengthen the cooperation between Mozambique and Venezuela.“We have come to Mozambique out of friendship and solidarity”, said the head of the delegation, Samuel Mancada, who is the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations.“We are bearing a message for the area of cooperation which was given to us by President Maduro”, he added.Venezuela was also willing to support Mozambique in the search for effective and lasting peace. “We have also come for peace because Venezuela is a country that loves peace”, said Moncada.“We know that Mozambique is an important country in Africa, and so we would like to cooperate in areas such as diplomacy, communications, energy and mining”, he added.For his part, the second member of the delegation, the Venezuelan deputy foreign minister for African affairs, Reinaldo Boniva, said the countries are linked by historical ties, and the Venezuelan government hope to strengthen interchange in education, particularly higher education.
