Mozambique
will organise a business forum between Chinese and Mozambican business people
in Beijing in early September, a diplomatic source told Macauhub.President
Filipe Nyusi, who will be in Beijing to participate in the work of the
China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in the Chinese capital on 3 and 4
September, will open the meeting on 2 September.
The
business meeting will also be attended by the Minister of Natural Resources and
Energy, Ernesto Max Tonela and the General Director of AIPEX Lourenço Sambo,
who will make a presentation about the legal framework of investment in
Mozambique.Business opportunities in the oil and natural gas sector will be
addressed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Empresa Nacional de
Hidrocarbonetos de Moçambique (ENH) Omar Mithá while Ben James, Executive Director
of Baobab Resources Limited will discuss investment opportunities with specific
reference to the Tete vanadium iron project and the Reváboé Free Zone in Tete. During
the Forum, a number of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are also expected to
be signed between companies from Mozambique and China.
