The British news agency , Reuters, formally presented an apology to
theMozambican government for having conveyed false information about alleged
resignation of Mozambique's Minister of Economy and Finance , Adriano Maleiane
.The request is contained in a statement sent to the Presidency.The British
agency recognizes that canard was prepared based on information that allegedly
circulated on social networks , without contacting the appropriate authorities
for proper confirmation.The apology is signed by the head of the Reuters office
in Africa, Edward Croply .
