Students from the Reunion Island National School of
Architecture and the Lúrio University Faculty of Architecture in Nampula
participated in a workshop on Mozambique Island last week entitled “Creativity
and practices in a heritage context”.The workshop provides a forum for the
exchange of experiences, and addresses topics such as creativity in architecture,
aesthetics, the relationship between tradition and modernity and
inter-culturalism.The event aims to help future architects working within a
cultural heritage find solutions to the steady degradation of classified
monuments and buildings on the Island of Mozambique, a World Cultural Heritage
